Today has been EXHAUSTING! We got up, I made the kids breakfast. Then I had to make Cayden's lunch, and get his backpack together. Then I got all 3 kids dressed. Let the dogs out, fed them then made sure they went out again. I threw on some workout out clothes, packed the diaper bag, grabbed my coffee and breakfast and ran out the door. I got all the kids in the car and we dropped Cayden off at school.
Then I headed to the gym. It took me 40 min to get to my gym due to traffic (aren't one of the benefits of staying home that you don't have to drive in rush hour anymore?????). Got to the gym and had a good workout even though I had to stop my workout twice to change poopy diapers(mental note: cut back on Carson's fiber on gym days).
Left the gym, drove home. Made lunch, fed the kids, did the dishes and cleaned the highchair (we had spaghetti for lunch so you can imagine the amount of clean up) Attempted to put Carson down for a nap. I say attempted because he decided he wanted to skip nap today (oh joy!). After he protested for quite awhile and I prayed to the good Lord above that he would sleep(oh, by the way God does not answer the "please let them sleep prayer". I'm not sure why, but he will not grant that prayer request)I gave up and got him up.
I played with Carson and tried to keep him happy even though he was cranky due to lack of sleep.
Let the dogs out again. Played with the dogs for awhile until Griff ran over Carson, knocking him down and making him pass out.
Put Chip and Carson in the car and went to get Cayden. Got Cayden, went to vacuum out my car(it was so dirty I couldn't see the floor mat on Carson's side due to the crumbs). Once I saw the floor mat I remembered that I still hadn't cleaned up the sticky Slurpee residue from last weekend. Went home and cleaned that.
Kids played(well actually they mostly fought and yelled at each other), I tried to keep Carson happy(he was still sleep deprived). Feed Carson, gave him a bath and put him to bed(ALLELUIA!!)
Cooked dinner, fed the other two kiddos and myself. Cleaned the kitchen. Gave both dogs a bath(I hate stinky dogs) and sat down to write this.
Sometimes I ask myself why I choose to do this everyday? I ask myself is it really worth it? Does anyone really notice how hard staying home with your kids is? Then I realize that it doesn't matter if anyone knows how hard I work, it doesn't matter if I'm so tired at the end of the day I can hardly move. All that matters is that I'm a mom to three amazing little boys. All things worth having require work. They are worth it...............
