Snow Days!

Growing up as a Texas girl I NEVER saw snow. I mean NEVER. This first time I saw snow and got to touch it I was 13 and in Colorado. So, that being said my boys have seen snow two winters in a row! They are going to start to think this is normal. This year they have been out of school for an entire week. dang! I would have loved a week off from school for snow when I was young.
It is so fun to watch them get excited when it starts to snow! Then we get all bundled up and I let them loose. They LOVE it! And I love to watch them play, throw snowballs, and make snow angels. I have always said Texas is the best place live. Now that we have snow, it's even better.

Christmas 2010

I LOVE Christmas! The best part of Christmas for me is watching my boys filled with joy and excitement. Watching my children enjoy the holiday is like being a kid again.
We had such a wonderful time with family and friends this year. On Christmas Eve, we went to church and it was a beautiful service. Carson spent most of the time staring at the worship team with his little mouth open. He LOVED the music. It is so important for us to remember the real meaning of Christmas.
Christmas morning came early but was great! I am blessed beyond what I deserve and try to enjoy every moment.

When I met my best friend back when we were just 14, I never in a million years would have thought that her and I would end up having all boys! She was blessed with 4 sons, and I was blessed with 3.
7 boys between us!!!
Two girly girls with 7 boys! We are blessed beyond what we deserve.
Here are some pictures from a recent visit we had............

"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."

2 days

We only have 2 days left before school starts. 2 days of sleeping late, wearing PJ's all day, and just being lazy. I like the freedom of summer. So we are soaking up the last moments of fun before the kids head back to school.

7

How is my baby 7? I know every mother says that. Where did the time go......my babies are getting so big.....it goes by so quickly.....I have heard it a million times from mothers of all ages, with children of all ages. It is true. It does go fast. It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating his first birthday. He had a little cowboy hat and a smasher cake shaped like a sheriff badge. Sigh.....tear.........sniff.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE watching them grow and change and become amazing people, but oh how I miss the chubby arms and baby smell.

Chip had a great 7th birthday. He was surrounded by family and friends. He got everything he wanted and is happily playing with all of it. Happy Birthday to my 1st baby! Please don't grow up too fast, it's too hard on mommy!
