Lucky

This face takes my emotions to a place I never thought they could go. I never knew how much I could love until I had this little boy. He was the first to make me a mother. He is a complex and sensitive child with a kind heart. He loves his mommy and is one of the 3 best things to ever happen to me. I am lucky to be his mom.

This gift was brought into my life in a completely different way. He was the second one to make me a mom. I never knew how much joy one little child could bring to you. He makes me laugh all the time. He is funny, spirited and creative. He lives to please and make you proud of him. I am lucky to be his mom.

And this one.............this one is my baby. The third one to make me a mom. He has the personality of a star and is the one who keeps me on my toes. Words cannot describe the millions of things he does everyday to fill my heart with happiness. I am lucky to be his mom.

Easter

Today was a beautiful Easter Sunday. The weather was perfect for an egg hunt and spending time outside with the kids. Cayden was with his mom this Easter and we missed him a lot. Even after being married for 5 years I am still not used to not having him on some holidays. I know we have to share him but he is always missed.
We all had a great Easter and loved spending time with family. Here are a few pictures from the day.

A Great Day!

We had the best day today. My father-in-law has retired and we had a family party to celebrate! We decided to spend the afternoon at the park. Good food, family, and fun! We played games and watched the kids play on the playground. The weather was perfect and it was a time to reflect on how blessed we are.

Boys are the Best

Who needs a daughter when you have 3 amazing and funny little boys who are always willing to put on a tutu, dance and make silly faces for you. I won a giveaway awhile back and one of the items I won was a tutu. Yes, I know I don't have any daughters to give this to, so I was going to give it to my niece. It arrived in the mail on Friday and I opened it. Imagine my surprise when my boys wanted to try it on and act like silly monkey's! I loved it and I love them. They always manage to make me laugh and be so grateful for a house full of boys!!

Snow Day!

Today was a great day! I got to celebrate my friend's birthday with her this morning and got to pick my kiddos up early this afternoon from school. All the while it was snowing buckets! It snowed ALL day today. For a Texas girl this was a real treat. It is beautiful.
Here are some pictures of the kids playing in the snow and Kevin clearing the driveway. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, Chip was there but he did not have any interest in playing in the snow. He is MY son after all. He did like looking at it out the window but did not want to go outside. I can't blame him, I wouldn't want to either. It was too cold. He did however come downstairs to enjoy some hot chocolate after the boys came in. Like I said he is MY son. Enjoy the pictures.

Toddlers

I love toddlers!! Well I should be clear and say I love my toddler. Carson Jack is the coolest 2 year old I know. Yes, I know I am partial because he is mine but he is like a little man inside that tiny body. He has his own style and opinions about everything! He is realizing that he is his own person and can make some decisions himself.
Speaking of style my little man has a thing for shoes. He LOVES shoes, all kinds of shoes! He wears my shoes, Kevin's shoes, Chip's shoes and Cayden's shoes. You never know what pair he will come out of the closet wearing. He also loves to buy shoes for himself. When we walk into the shoe store he goes and picks out exactly what he wants. He knows without a doubt which shoes he is leaving with.
I love his confidence and joy in finding just the right pair for himself. His face lights up and he can't wait to get those new shoes on! Once he has his new shoes he will walk proudly out of the store asking you at least 5 times if you "like new shoes?"
I love how something so simple as picking out his own shoes gives him a sense of pride and independence. I LOVE my toddler.

Oh, and in case you were wondering which new shoes he picked for himself this weekend, well here you go......
